Gujarat Model - Boon or Bane

Can NaMo bring the change in India?

If people think a single person can change India they are fooling themselves.

BJP has just played a master stroke as it knows that most population don't try to reason out or go for logics. Making NaMo as PM candidate and hiding all other corrupt faces behind him. We, being innocent and very much attracted towards US, forget that US presidential election type campaign can be fruitful for party but equally harmful for public. India is a multi-party democratic country and party/alliance forms government but not an individual, PM can be changed anytime depending on majority vote of MPs of major alliance. Modi has kept his rally speech as NaMo vs RaGa and kept important issues aside.

Will Modi bring change- Yes, he will.
Will change be for good- Impossible!
How Wikileaks dammed the Narendra Modi wave | Latest News & Updates at Daily News & Analysis

WikiLeaks on its website, on Sunday, through its tweets, rubbished BJP's claims of quoting Modi as the 'lone honest Indian politician' and tweeted that it had only named a Congress leader Manoharsinh Jadeja in the diplomatic cable in 2011.

WikiLeaks had tweeted, 'No WikiLeaks document say Modi is 'incorruptible', rather he is popular because 'viewed' as 'incorruptible''.

UPA was successful in 2004-2009 and BJP was miserable then opposing Nuclear Deal -BJP opposes Indo-US nuclear deal - Hindustan Times

UPA won superbly and started its second term.

Narendra Modi's speeches based on Youth and Change are inspired by Barack Obama, but now I guess he is out of ammunition and so started "sympathetic" appeal as speech in rallies. Same old scheme, lamenting Indian National Congress with dynasty rule and targeting Rahul Gandhi and now his self-inspirational story of "Tea-seller" and OBC.

Was he following Barack Obama in his initial phase of elevation as PM candidate just to gain public support and praise? I don't think Barack Obama ever brought his "colored-skin" as weapon to target his opposition and gain sympathy vote of public. Or is it that somehow he read our mind and got to know that we still have not changed, and so he can follow same old-rules of game!

ArKe kaash kuch nahi karta! - For some detail discussion of AAP governance during Jan.

A person who can't bring change in party itself can hardly bring any good changes in a country.

He may be better administrator than Manmohan Singh but it hardly proves that will be enough to bring positive changes which people are hoping for.

If I read his speeches, it is same old allegations which BJP has been putting on Congress since ages and people already know these things like dynasty rule and all that.

Let us not get emotional and go for facts.

Modi says he will bring Gujrat model in India.

1. Does he mean - In Gujarat, 57 MLAs face criminal charges - this particular Gujrat model will be used in India Parliament too.
Murder charges dog right-hand man of Narendra Modi
Hell, yes. I can see that. This is why he started his mission by bringing B S Yeddyurappa into BJP with open arms (SC refuses to stay trial against Yeddyurappa ). Nitin Gadkari is already in Core committee of BJP, forget about low profile BJP members with criminal charges.

Now you can imagine what type of BJP MPs are we going to see in Parliament (temple of Republic state) after LS election 2014.

I don't mean that all these are in hands of Narendra Modi, but same goes for Manmohan Singh too. What difference is proved and can be seen is in personality, one is aggressive in speech and other remains silent.

This tweet is by Meera Sanyal during her 2012 visit to Gujrat and was not even member of AAP then.

There have been developmental works in Gujrat, which is great and learning for other states too. But we should try to find out who should be credited for particular development works. It is always State Govt. who fly away with full credits even if it has zero or partial role to play in it. Since article is getting long, I will give an example : Solar and Winder power projects in Gujrat are not solely of State Govt. but initiative of Central Govt. schemes (national planning) - Central and State Government Solar Policies - EAI.inAfter Rajasthan, Centre plans solar, wind power projects in GujaratSolar power in India

Instance of Education sector (Govt.) and Mafia :

We also need to see the potentiality of Gujrat and how is government utilizing on potential resources. Not many states are lucky with several natural resources like petroleum, coal, sea-beach (ports), river etc. Developmental plans and budget depends on demographic and geographic conditions too.

It is very illogical and foolish to believe that Gujrat growth model (myth or fact) can work at national level.

Are there Naxalite problem in Gujrat, which are there in some other states of India? Do people in other states undermine education and give more priority to business than education? Do people in other states are in traditional practice of business, or have capitals, atmosphere etc.

8. Won't extremist groups and parties like Shiv Shena start there goonism all over again with more support from government?

List can go on and on.
(Do watch this video and listen comments by Gujrat's public)

Gujrat is developed. Has some good plans. But can we ignore all other important facts?

Okay, some argument will be, I don't give damn about poors, others. My family is safe and probability that I or my family will fall under violation of Human right by govt. is highly unlikely (impossible). I'm educated and don't bother if education and research is not primary concern.

He has been ruling in Gujrat for three consecutive terms and see the difference.
The promises which he is making now, can they be fulfilled in just 5 years? India is a country and not a state (reminder!).

Next important issue, do you think BJP (NDA) can get 271+ seats?
What if not? Then like Delhi assembly election, will it go for re-election or ask second major party to form government and play role of opposition? Or will it form alliance with other parties? If it forms alliance with other parties, can it take stand against ministers of allied parties if they are found in scams or some ongoing cases? Who will be PM if supporting parties don't like NaMo? Has these important issues been discussed by BJP because then announcing of NaMo as PM candidate does not make any sense!

Doublespeak on corruption!

The below part forms my opinion -

Those who have faith in themselves, those who have dare to challenge backward traditional practices, don't bother about "Char Log", have heart of an entrepreneur, guts to back yourself  and rise again when you fall, ready to explore to defy all odds - will certainly find the alternate solution to the situation and problem. I request you to propagate your opinion and thinking to others, if you think it is for good. Take decision that is the best for you and in your constituency. :)

Here are some interview and questionnaire sessions with Yogendra Yadav and Arvind Kejriwal that may help you think if there exists an alternative -

I'm very much sure these will clear most of your doubts, misconception, biases or lack of information.

  • APP is for transparent and clean Government.
  • AAP is neither left nor right.
  • AAP is neither socialist nor capitalist.
  • AAP is against unconstitutional practices -Anti-corruption, Khaps etc.

Discussion with Industrialists at CII, 17 Feb 2014 -

Copying speech from US is easy to mislead people (particularly youth category), but a real "thinker" and administrator has vision and ideas (realistic and some have been put on trial too) -

Rahul Gandhi : He uses phrases and words like Open system, Women Empowerment, Youth, RTI etc. but can't form a proper meaningful sentence.

Narendra Modi : Forms artful sentence with words like 5Ts- Trade, Technology, Tourism, etc. People get fascinated after hearings such terms and a meaningful sentence. (But if sentence can be realistic or not, and what is mechanism, no one gives second thought!)

Arvind Kejriwal : Gives model of Governance - Corruption-free system, security, infrastructure, policies. Plain and simple. (People think his vocabulary is not as good as Modi)

The Youth of our country should become job-givers rather than job-takers. -Arvind Kejriwal

Swaraj (Democracy) policy of AAP -

AAP is in the situation of The miller, his son and the donkey. We Indians live in a society which will have entities who can come up with some or the other biased reasons and criticize any move, like most of the time media does.

AAP has become voice of Indian public (if not all, then most or some) and is in sync with their feelings.
Go through the core-committee members of AAP, its election candidates and then question if they are the ones whom you would like to represent public in Parliament and Assembly.

We have been choosing among the worse, but this is the first time we can choose for good!

We had only option of B or C but now we have A.

Decide yourself!

For some more claims and statistics :http://indianexponent.com/why-the-so-called-achievements-of-narendra-modi-in-gujarat-dont-impress-me/

some links which put Gujrati's view on Gujrat Model -Page on pheku.inReasons For Not Voting Modi . Facts and Lies

I've come to know a fact that Gujrat Govt. knowingly distorts the fact regarding oppression and death of farmers and poors in Gujrat. There are some agencies who cheat underprivileged ones during surveys or for profit-motive. I currently don't have statistics, hence it is upon you to ignore or try finding the truth. I've come to know this through my friend at ICTS, Banglore. Some faculties in this institute are also working as social activists for related cause.
